Preserving and Sharing History.

Agawam Historical Association

As the Agawam Historical Association neared the end of a major renovation to their museum space, it was clear a new website was needed to support ongoing community engagement efforts. The association is run by a passionate group of people who put massive effort into collecting and showcasing the town's rich history, and who also manage two historical sites in town - they wanted to find a way to make Agawam's history as accessible as possible. With beautiful historic images and lots of intriguing stories, we created a hub of engaging information and stories for local history enthusiasts to dive into.

The mission was to create a website that could house all of the important historical stories the association has uncovered (with room to grow), while inspiring people to visit both historical sites and ultimately supporting the work as a member or a donor.

The Scope

  • Custom mobile-friendly design, including targeted CSS customization

  • Copy writing, graphic and photo editing, SEO setup

  • E-commerce implementation, facilitation of custom email setup

  • Incorporation of established logo, developed new brand colors and fonts

The Flow

Immersing visitors in local history, as they would be when stepping into the museum itself, we engage people with stories they want to hear more about and lead them to opportunities to get involved with the Association’s efforts along the way.
